Background
When Raina Lehmann asked us to create her new online shop she wanted entering the site to be like peering in the window of a jam packed thrift shop cum artist studio, filled with eclectic objects and ideas.
We asked illustrator Anna-Maria Niestroj to create the beautiful homepage illustration that leads you into Lehmann's world. The image depicts this fantasy workshop, each object carefully chosen and laden with meaning. The illustration then continues as a simple border throughout the rest of the site. Keeping the colour scheme and layout of the content areas simple prevents users from getting lost.
Built on the WordPress platform, Draw() created a custom CMS that allows the client maintain her products and provide content in both English and German.
